Microbiology can be challenging because it requires you to learn about a vast range of microorganisms — bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites — along with their structures, life cycles, and the diseases they cause. The sheer volume of classification, terminology, and host-pathogen interactions can feel overwhelming.
